Greater Richmond Interfaith Project (GRIP) seeks to eradicate homelessness and revitalize the West County Community through case management, enrichment and training opportunities to help stabilize low- moderate income community members.
In being seasoned in our understanding of the plight of our marginalized consumers, GRIP confidently provides the following services to help promote community engagement, housing and economic stability and self-sufficiency:
- Intensive Case Management
- Immediate Basic needs: food, clothing, showers, laundry and mail services
- Family Shelter (65 bed transitional housing program)
- Veteran Housing (9-unit apartment / affordable housing)
- Alcohol and Other Drug Services and Referrals
- Brokerage/ Linkages to Community Based Programs
GRIP provides the afore mentioned services at its 12,000 square foot facility, which houses The Souper Center, Contra Costa Coordinated Entry “CARE” Center, Family Shelter and Veteran Housing (adjacent to the facility).
GRIP’s Souper Center services currently are available from 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday and for limited hours during the weekend.
GRIP uses a unique approach to meet the complex needs of our consumers, by using our Multi-Disciplinary Case Management team. Our team consists of a Housing Navigator (identifies and provides the best housing options for our consumers, while eliminating the barriers to attain housing), Families in Transitions Specialists (provides intensive case management for identified homeless youth and their families), Mental Health Professional and Alcohol and Other Drug Counselor .
Our Case Management team, along with strategic partnerships with community service entities, will provide our consumers with financial literacy training, employment readiness skill building, mental health and wellness services and substance use and treatment and groups.
