Greetings congregations, organizations, volunteers and other GRIP supporters. We are in need and you are invited to sign up to help prepare and serve Thanksgiving lunch to our most vulnerable community-our homeless consumers. The GRIP kitchen/dining hall will be open on Thanksgiving Day from 11:30am-1:30pm for a feast of turkey and all the fixings.
We’ll give thanks for our community and our gifts as we break out the linens and silverware, decorate the dining hall, and fill plates with turkey, mashed potatoes, and all the memories of a warm meal with family — the extended family community of our GRIP clients, residents, and the greater Richmond community who we serve and who serves here.
We will also have a coat donation during that time.
PLEASE NOTE: All congregation/organization volunteers who will be cooking and/or serving will need to, at minimum provide proof of vaccination or have a negative test within 72 hours. Temperature checks, hand sanitization and wearing a well-fitting mask will be enforced. Gloves and aprons will be provided.
To sign up for this special day, please contact Nicole Jones at 510-233-2141 ext. 320 or email [email protected]
Thank you for your support!
