With the 15,000 people GRIP serves in Western Contra Costa County, there is always need, but right now, at this moment, the need for men’s clothing is great.

As you do your spring cleaning, maybe you’re finding your husband’s dress slacks he hasn’t worn since your sister’s wedding, or your son’s bar mitzvah suit, or maybe you’ve stopped wearing ties?

GRIP can use everything from jeans to jackets, cut offs to corduroy, t-shirts to tank tops, shorts to shirts, polos to Pumas. You get the idea. Underwear and socks are particularly in demand, if you can buy an extra pack at Costco.

Drop off men’s clothing any time GRIP is open, seven days a week.

Or, stop by the Sunset & Sips event on Thursday, March 12th to talk with GRIP leaders and community volunteers, and drop clothes off then.

If you need a receipt for taxes, just ask or email, and we’re happy to itemize it for you and include our taxpayer ID so you can get the full deduction, and give more to GRIP.

We’ll also take women’s and girls clothes too, but we are not running as low of female items as we are in the men’s closet.  Toiletries, toothpaste, tampons, pads, deodorant, razors, shaving cream, soap, shampoo, along with food items and so much more are always welcome and on our standard “items needed list.”
