Here at GRIP, we celebrate Black History this month and every month. We are grateful to serve the Black community in Richmond, who make up over 20% of the city’s total population. We aim to continuously empower disenfranchised Black individuals and families by helping those in need to transition to self-sufficiency. Over the years, GRIP has evolved from a small community food pantry to a multiservice agency which serves over 15,000 homeless, hungry, and low-income people annually.
We will continue the fight against racism and will always stand with our Black community.
