As GRIP continues to expand our services by finding new ways we can support our community members, we’d like to welcome our new Mental Health Advocate: Eddie G. Morris. Eddie was born and raised in Richmond, and has been involved in mental health work in the bay area for 31 years. He is currently a Volunteer Coordinator for National Alliance of Mental Illness (NAMI), and wears a multitude of other hats under mental health support. This allows Eddie to quickly connect clients to resources and offer a safe hand to hold while navigating different services needed to help them transition. Some of the services available at GRIP that Eddie supports include:
- on-on-one counseling for families struggling to hep a loved one
- one-on-one counseling for individuals
- youth support and resources for personal wellness & education referrals
- referrals to local support groups
Eddie is a passionate advocate for mental health work, and seeks to help emerging professionals who are interested in entering the mental heath field. Thank you Eddie for your work with GRIP, and your dedication to serving the community – we are honored to have you as part of our team!
If you or a loved one are seeking mental health services through GRIP, please contact Eddie at (925) 765-8045 or email: [email protected]. Eddie is also available for walk-in appointments Tuesdays and Thursdays 10AM – 2PM.
